Anticipation

To be completely honest, I originally enrolled in the course as it was a requirement to fulfill my Honors Specialization in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences degree. However, once I read the description for this course, I was immediately excited! Dr. McLean teaching a course with community engagement?! Sign me up!










When class began, Dr. McLean encouraged me to think critically about my opinions of current health issues, as my views were going to be challenged over the next few months. In a reflection activity, I wrote an optimistic letter to myself about my expectations for the course. I believe I fulfilled and surpassed these expectations, however you will have to read on to make that decision yourself!
